Sefa Karakuş
About
Born in 1992 in Istanbul, Sefa Karakuş started her painting education at Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School in 2006. The artist, who entered the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2010, graduated in 2017.
When we look at it as a perception, we come across the changes of people who have taken refuge in masks or the formation of figures created by chaos from a different perspective. The subject deals with the people who created this environment or those who were dragged there. The viewer can find himself in a positive environment with the illusion of colorful and aesthetic forms instead of the obvious chaos. In this dilemma, the artist's painting, which will be exhibited together with his new series called 'Ego', meets the audience.
Sefa Karakuş, whose works have been exhibited in many group exhibitions and won awards in different competitions, continues her work in her workshop in Istanbul.
