About
She was born in İzmir, in 1983. She began her undergraduate education at the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2003, took her degree in 2009. That same year, she was qualified to enroll master program at the Painting Department of the same University. In 2010, during her master period, she studied at Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design, the University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany. In 2012, she held her first solo exhibition, Memory of Body at Akademililer Art Center. In 2013, she graduated from the master program by her dissertation work named Expressive Body Image in 20th Century Art. She entered proficiency in art program at the Painting Department, Institute of Social Sciences of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and graduated by dissertation work, named Association of Expressive Body with the Concept of Melancholy in the Art of Painting. In 2015, she held her second solo exhibition, Black Sensation at Karşı Art Works. In 2019, she opened her third solo exhibition, Corpus Magnum, at Gallery Mercury. The Accident of Art by Paul Virilio, is among the books that she has translated to Turkish. She has received three awards, including 68. State Painting-Sculpture Competition, Printing Success Award. The artist has participated in several domestic and abroad exhibitions and workshops; currently works and lives in Istanbul.
