Hasan Pehlevan

Born in Silvan in 1986, Hasan Pehlevan graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. He is still continuing his master's degree in Plastic Arts at Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences. Believing in the power of form in his works, the artist wrote a thesis on "perception - illusion". It restores pre-post forms of historical significance. At the same time, he creates wall paintings with anonymous interventions in indoor and outdoor, public spaces. Her work focuses on belonging, identity and the destruction of historical cultural structures. Pehlevan, who determined that new cultural codes were formed with destructions by examining and researching the effects on cities, people and history, is concerned about whether it is possible to leave a cultural heritage to the future. We see cities collapsing with construction and urbanization, and changing and transforming cities. Demolitions are not just about changing buildings; It also affects fields such as ecology, sociology, and anthropology. The artist, who has been examining the destruction of historical places recently; He witnesses and reflects in his works that construction and demolition proceed very rapidly, buildings are destroyed by not being protected or demolished, and his memory is emptied.
