Cleon Peterson
About
Cleon Peterson, born in Seattle, Washington in 1973, holds a master's degree in fine arts from Cranbrook Academy of the Arts, Detroit, Michigan; He received his graphic design fine arts license from Art Center College, Pasadena. The massacres of the humanoid creatures we encounter in the artist's large canvases and murals inflict terrifying pain on a group of almost the same appearance, deeply touching our emotions such as fear, disgust, anger, empathy, pity, anxiety. In his work that has progressed steadily over the years, Peterson is not concerned with questions of right and wrong, good and bad, truth and deception. Far outside of the moralist positions, he produces works on oppression and victimization. Peterson's selected personal and group exhibitions, whose works are included in many important collections, include: "Look Into the Sun", PİLEVNELİ Gallery; "Shadow of Men", Museum of Contemporary Art Denver; “Victory”, Galerie Du Jour; "The Judgment", Plus One; “Lasco Project”, Palais de Tokyo; “Rose Béton”, Musée des Abbatoirs.
