Ayşe Topçuoğulları

About
She graduated from Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Painting in 2020.
In her works, Ayşe Topçuoğulları brings us into a world of minimalist dreams, where she explores the inner worlds of children, who are the heroes of their own imaginations, and the nature themes she consistently incorporates into her compositions.
The sense of emptiness, distance, and unnamed spaces depicted in her paintings invites us to question the relationship between nature and children, allowing us to disconnect from the real world and reconnect with ourselves. The figures in her compositions are always in a state of “spontaneity,” much like the self-existing states of plants and animals in nature.
Another prominent feature of Ayşe Topçuoğulları’s work is her creation of a fairytale-like language that invites the viewer to reflect on the natural relationship between the opportunities available to children and their longing for nature.
