Ahmet Duru

Ahmet Duru generally uses nature photographs in his works. In his works, he wants to present macro and micro perspectives in nature with different forms of expression. The artist often takes photographs during nature excursions and designs the creation process of his works during these excursions. He wants to reflect the effects of nature and space on the human soul through his works. In some of his works, he works very closely and in detail by taking a section from a photograph of a certain geography. As the person approaches this reality and detail, he finds himself in an increasing abstraction, further and further away from reality. It aims to make the human mind, which is freed by taking power from nature, wander in the universe of thoughts through associations. The artist takes shape in his works with charcoal oil paintings and drawings, starting from concepts such as formation, existence and disappearance, with a dynamic nourished from different fields.
