Cenk Düzyol

Istanbul, 1981

Having graduated from Sabanci University, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Political Science in 2004, Cenk Duzyol continues to work in his workshop in Istanbul.

The artist, who also works on other fields of visual arts such as film and photography, has actually never received any formal art training.

Taking on a contemporary storytelling through his works, the artist explores the relationship between humans and technology, and the effects of technology and modernization on society. His figurative compositions generally depict a sense of unease and dystopia, but contain a glimmer of hope and optimism that comes along with an ironic and humorous language.
