Suat Akdemir

Suat Akdemir was born in 1960 in Istanbul. After high school, he enrolled in the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1979 and left school in 1981. After working as an assistant in various artist workshops, he established his own workshop in Istanbul in 1985. He researched in museums abroad. He opened his first professional exhibitions at BM Sanat in 1990 and at AKM in 1993. He opened 14 personal exhibitions in Turkey. He participated in many group exhibitions abroad and inside. Most recently, he opened a solo exhibition with Gallery Mercury in London in 2018. Akdemir has 8 published exhibition catalogs and 3 artist books. He still continues his works in Istanbul and Bodrum workshops.
